Hello, this is Kevin Thai, son of Bao Thai. I can speak and hear in Vietnamese but cannot write and read. My dad helped me to signed in to Goc Que. I am 13 years old, in 8th grade. Hello everyone. Is it ok if I write in English? If not my dad will help to trans. to Vietnamese

Hello Uncle Vu. Nice to meet you too. My dad said there are many relatives still living in Vietnam, and there are always a big big families. Oops, sorry, I missed typing of my age, it should be 14th. I started to school one year late because my birthday is on September while school year here beginning in the month of August.

Yes, we have a very big family. Your dad's grandmother and my grandfather are sister and brother. And we are happy that we still keep in touch with others regardless of long distance.

I see that your last name is Le, so your grandpa, who is my Dad's grandma's brother, is on your father side? You are typing English so well. Did you study English in Vietnam?

All students in Vietnam have been teaching English as a foreign language. After graduation, some of them continue to use English at work and can speak English fluently, but most of them can't because they do not have the opportunity to use English. I think my English is not good, it's just good enough for simple communication. Some of Góc Quê members who are living in Vietnam but can speak English very well are caribanhmi, aichai, ANH THƯ (they are teaching English), dzidzi (she lived in Canada several years), minhnhat (he is studying in Australia)...
Your Dad's uncle is my mother's father. I lived with them when I was a child so I was named based on their last name (like in matriarchy).

Thanks for sharing about your last name. I see what you meant. Yeap, my school time is from 9:30 am to 3:50 pm. Lunch time is at 12 pm at the school. The student can go to school by schoolbus, walk, car rider, and bike. Wed. I am home earlier, at 2 pm. I used to do homework at school during the break. I have many friends at school, they are all around the world. I speak English at school and somewhere they speak English only, and Vietnamese at home and with older Vietnamese people. But I speak English to those kids who same with my age, a bit older, and younger. My dad said he so pround of his cousins. I get to go. Talk to you later. Have a nice day uncle Vu
